get some more open water time in

Good bike!. Rode pretty steady. Was a little slower than last year but that was probably due to the wind

nothing

Comments:

Slower than last year. Took me a while to warm up. Got passed by a few fast guys. Managed to repass two of them but couldn't catch the last guy. Getting passed definitely woke me up and made me dig deep.
What would you do differently?:

not sure why my run was slower. Someone mentioned that the course was a bit long but either way I should have been able to run 6:45 miles
Post race
Warm down:

gave it everything I had. This forced me to collapse in the grass for a few minutes. At least until I could shake the urge to vomit.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

I didn't taper for this race. It was just a tune up.

My first triathlon was at age 56. At first I was just the cameraman at my daughter's first triathlon, then I am doing the races that she has done.
