Cold but not horrible - I seeded with the 1:30 to 1:45 folks came out at 1:31 I'm happy with that

Course: tough course for me I was not ready for the hills. Also the cable broke for shifting my big ring, thank goodness it was stuck on the smaller of the 2 otherwise it would have been the end of the race I believe. This prevented me from pushing down hill, once I hit "terminal velocity" at about 25 MPH gravity took over and sometimes I was able to hit 35 to 38 however as I bottomed out there was no way to sustain this speed without that larger gear.

Athletes were buzzing around, adding last minute things to their transition bags. The sidewalks and grassy areas are filled with spectators and cameras. Announcements were being made.
