I get to ride for Team Radioshack and be on Yanti's team. This is almost too good to be true!I'm off to a solid start with a 2:19 ride yesterday at 46.88 miles and a 2:29 ride today at 50.83 miles. I'll log them as soon as I get back to my main PC.Edit: actually, are we using BT logs to report these rides, or is their a spreadsheet somewhere?

Can everyone post their goals for motivational purposes?

I have committed to 15 stages, 450 miles.  I may do some modification to time to do a few of my stages on the trainer.  We've had a couple of road deaths in the last week, and it has made me more skittish than usual (and I'm already skittish) about riding on the road.

That being said, I got in a good ride yesterday, even after flatting three miles in.  Didn't have my flat kit (naughty, naughty), so limped back to my truck, changed the flat and got on with it.  Felt good to practice flat changing, but still hope I never have to use it in a race.

Stage #1: So total miles yesterday were technically 53, but starting with the do-over from the flat, just over 47, with some wind.

I posted 12 stages for 320 miles, but I may need to adjust that, as I already have about 100 miles logged from my weekend of riding.  I have a tri on the 13th that I'm gearing up for, so this week will be a big one leading up to it.

Here's the datas from my weekend rides:

Got an unintentional KOM from one of my intervals!

I just listed hours on the original thread but I think I'm going to adjust to 10 stages, 150 miles.

Hey guys,

I made a google doc for us to use to log our progress through the challenge.

In theory anyone with the link can edit the spreadsheet.  If anyone runs into problems, then let me know.

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AvYJPqk_DAdxdHVmZ3FsMXFHWHJEWUlpeG9OS1JPTHc&usp=sharing

Edit: I added everyone's goals that were listed in the thread.  Feel free to add your names as well.

Sweet!

Cat (kaqphin) usually puts up spreadsheets but it's been a tough year for her and tough time lately. Hey, we made it through the first few years without spreadsheets, just good old fashioned reporting--nice luxury!

My original goal was all stages to total 45 hours, but the food poisoning has put a small dent in that. We used to have a few days' leeway to adjust goals, so I'll either do that or the fancy math of minusing the days over the original goal blah blah blah.

I did get on the bike for 20min today though. In jeans and Crocs

Feeling a lot better but still extremely tired and nauseated around food. Still only eating very plain stuff--rice, broth, ginger ale--but I did hold down one Cherry Ripe (it's about half of the Hallowe'en mini-size square chocolate bars) from Stacey's care package.

If you have no idea what I'm talking about, that's fine. Most of the time, I don't either.

Aw, thanks. I was seriously considering bagging it today (as in, getting what refund I still can on travel etc. stuff) ... not just the illness, but every major life area is a huge challenge and time drain right now.

But then I got a care package (reference to Stacey) and a PM from someone that changed everything. My name, "Yanti" means "go" ... that's what I do.

When's your next race, btw? What's the haps with you? Fill me in.

I'm terribly behind in race reports, but I've had a pretty solid season so far.  Won my age group in a pretty popular intermediate distance race recently, so that was fun.

I got a sprint tri next weekend (13th), where I'm primarily racing a rival age grouper.  We've gone head to head several times, and he has yet to beat me, but after a strong IM race he thinks he has my number.  Being the competitive guy I am, I proposed we bet race fees to make it more interesting.

Outside of that I'm moving back to Mississippi this weekend.  I moved to Alabama for work, but got a good offer that gets me back closer to home.

Glad that you got motivated to continue getting ready for Japan.  I've only gone through the training experience once for that distance, and it's hard enough without extra stuff going on in your life.  Hopefully you find the right balance.

Howdy. Sorry for the radio silence. I had to copy Yanti and be sick all weekend. Not food poisoning, though. Just nasty infection and high temperature. The good news is I am much better today and got one of my stages done. Thanks for the Google doc. I got my goals entered. I am a bit light since I am going to be out of town for a week right in the middle of the tour. I will get them done though.

At least one of those stages will be my tri. The first one in a long time.

Trying to :) I have been woefully neglecting the bike until just recently. Those are some very strong 20s. I'm impressed. What are you averaging for your oly bike?
