Well, Ron said the "new" CoJ is for bunnies and sunshine only, so I'm pretty sure this amazing sunny Aussie gal and her massive mastiffs count
An astonishing thing about BT is how quickly perfect strangers (many of whom I've still not yet met!) become your BFFs. A few years ago when I was in a terrible spot I was floored at how many BTers--some of whom I'd never even interacted with on the board--sent me actual, real stuff in the mail to cheer me up!
And this has continued on. Countless, wonderful people. You. While the rate of delivery to Indonesia has meant that some senders have moved up age groups by the time the packages arrived, they always come at a time when I'm just about to give up on something.
After four days of food poisoning during a peak training time, and currently a lot of really difficult life stuff, I couldn't see how (logistically, physically, otherwise) I could realistically get to Ironman Japan in 60 days.
But I will.
One great glorious package from StaceyK (who just started logging again! Inspire her! She's inspirational!) changed everything ...
Thank you Stace Face. Big giant slobbery dog kisses and massive mastiff-sized {MELON PRESS}!!!
What's this? From Australia Post?

IT'S CHRISTMAS!!!!!

Teddy.
Recovery Teddy.

And kisses from her mastiffs, too! (She has SIX!) My! We do look alike. How about that.

SECRET WEAPON SENT!!! Look closely bottom left. It says, "Iron Man Food." Right there. And Cadbury's.

Cadbury's is duly placed on the bedside table along with other life essentials. (YES it's a Bible my dad stole from a hotel room--he was the worst hotel-thief ever, entire towel and crockery sets and such--anyway, reading this particular one makes me feel closer to him, and, of course, to Him.)
