Subject: RE: Hed 3 ----> How to prevent flat tires???!!! Check the inside of the rims as suggested. Something sharp could be in there. If so, I usually wet sand the rough bit or sharp bit down smooth.
Check the tire (s ), they could have a bit of metal or other small sharp object in them that is causing the puncture.
When you put new tube in, make sure you are not pinch flatting the tube. I find putting a little bit of pressure in the tube before putting in the wheel helps.
Is the puncture on the same wheel every time? Is it at the same place every time? When you flat you really want to remember where on the inner tube it happened. If it's happening in the same place over and over, there there is something in the rim or tire causing it. I've had tires that I could never figure out why I was flatting and just ended up tossing the tire and that solved my issue. I have a tire that had a little sharp bit of wire in it that was causing flats, but the wire was tucked up in the tire until a lot of pressure was applied to it, super hard to find. |
