Event warmup:

Jogged around a little bit to get the legs moving. Did a couple intervals for some speedwork.

Wow. Enter the hurt locker! lol This was a last minute decision to do this with a friend and I really enjoyed it.

2 loops around the harness track to see what you can do. Waves based off of how fast you thought you'd run. I entered the 5-5:59 wave based off a 5:56 mile I did back in March. To see my final time I was pretty excited I wanted to be around 5:45 mark so I'll definitely take what I did.

Think I could have pushed a little bit harder earlier and tried to maintain it but I was pretty tired at the end.

Event comments:

They used bibs from racers that didn't show up at other races. So there were a dozen different types and colors of bibs. Was really funny to see the variety. You found yourself looking at peoples bibs just to see what race it came from.

Was a good time and just something fun and different to do. Would do it again and would recommend to others.

My hunger stays under control well enough throughout the day eating every couple hours but come 9:00 pm I am again craving something sweet and if I don't eat I don't sleep.

I think quite truly for the first time I 'get it'. It's not just about the fitness. It's not just about the great little endorphin rush as you hit 5, 10, 15 miles...its not just the medal at the end.
