Pre-race routine:

Missed the shuttle boat before race so 8 of us hussled around the lakeasbest we could to beat the tansition close. If I ever eturn, I haveto stay on the same side of the lake as the race.
Event warmup:

Trying to get to the start through the throngs of people that were watching but from the sdewalk that I had to use to get to the lake.

Swim in cold water more. However, it was not theswim at altitude that actually caused my issues ofthe day.

Athletes were buzzing around, adding last minute things to their transition bags. The sidewalks and grassy areas are filled with spectators and cameras. Announcements were being made.
