I was just checking out the Magnuson series events. I'd like to sign for the Xmas 15K run. I am so out of running shape right now though. thinking about doing the Pumpkin push and also a turkey day trot.  Nothing major though.  I've usually done the Seattle half but like I said, running and I had a major disagreement..so yeah lol

That series is great! Super low key and cheap! So long as you aren't super into getting a t-shirt and medal etc.

I have just under three weeks until major surgery...so nothing on the race calendar, although am considering doing a Halloween run on Sunday and there are a couple of other short runs I might do...or not.....I was hoping to be deep in the throes of cyclocross season but have been hampered by illness (mine and my kids') and training isn't going my way, so although I have raced a little bit, I am not sure I will do any more this season.  I will return stronger and more aerodynamic for the 2014 season!  I do have a lot of races I would love to run, if I could, but at this point am not scheduling those....including Mustache Dache and the 12k's of Christmas, and there's a good 1/2 mary around Veteran's Day that I like to do, entry is free with donation.  Seattle Half is always on my list but I haven't done it yet.  There's a Turkey Trot in Redmond which is a time predictor where you guess your finish time to win a turkey....so many fun events.  Alas....I will watch you all have fun for a while!

Fact is, it's tough. Best bet is to do the training that you can, and let the chips fall where they may.
