Planet X Pro Carbon 82/101 wheels are everything a fast rider looks for in a wheel, they're built on to quality Planet X Superlight sealed-cartridge hubs, with flat aero spokes, laced radially on the front wheel and 2-cross on the rear. The rims are ultra-light deep section aero carbon - tough and durable, they're versatile for use in all conditions over all sorts of terrain.

The 101 wheel is a popular alternative to a disc on the rear. The aerodynamic mid section front rim gives you a super fast front wheel that is still manageable in windy conditions.

I bought these in June of this year and have done 2 olympic and 4 sprint triathlons on them.

Paired with Continental Sprinter tires, valve extenders, carbon specific brake pads and a brand new spare you can roll today. $600 OBO, plus shipping.

Bike not included!

Clincher or Tubular?

What is the rim width? Internal and external?

Tubular, I'm running 22MM Sprinters on them now. I've looked on the PlanetX website and can't find the rim width so I sent them an email asking.

Yes but not with 3 tires and valve extensions which add up very quickly to the purchase of the wheel set.

BTW, thanks for adding value to my thread.

Thanks, I don't know much about Planet x wheels, are they pointy at the spoke area or rounded? I wish they were clincher.

They are rounded at the spokes, I will try and see if I can get a good picture of the rim itself.

A bike is NOT a piece of metal with a couple of wheels at either end and a steering thing to stop you running over old ladies. No! ... a bike is a space-age “weapon of mass confusion.”
