Subject: RE: Flat & hot or cool & hilly?I can't speak to either race, but all four HIM's I've done have been flat, and I'm kinda over it now. I'm doing one in may that is hilly. I'm not a podium challenger at that distance so for me it's a personal challenge, and completing a flat one is not a big deal for me anymore, so I'd take hilly and cool any day, especially if hot is in the 100+ range. Not so much for the bike, but I couldn't imagine running in that kind of weather. Not to mention that the hottest part of the day will be when you're running, not cycling.
Also, from what I hear, "hilly" sounds like a massive understatement for Savageman.
Good luck with whichever you do! I want to do Savageman some day as well. |
