Ok, let's hear all the good pranks that were pulled today!!!

I'll start

I've been planning this for weeks! I have a friend that is a police officer, another that owns a auto glass shop, and my insurance agent has known me for years... all of them know I'm a prankster.

My wife is a sound sleeper and works from home, I leave the house for the gym at about 3:30am then head to work after that... this morning before she had a chance to wake up, I had my friend who owns a glass shop use the valet key to her car (Didn't want to use the 2 key fobs, she would wonder why 1 was missing) and move her car around the block, then sprinkle some broken auto glass on the driveway. Both my police friend and the insurance agent had been briefed on what was happening.

The wife woke up and saw the note I had left on the counter.... "Can you please run to get some dog food, thanks." About this time time I get a PANIC call from her.... she was yelling and crying at the same time. See, she always parks her car in the garage... but I was doing bike maintenance the day before and "didn't get done" so her car was in the driveway... she had even said the night before "I hope my car doesn't get stolen" but she was totally joking.
I told her to call Gary, our cop friend and he would come help out. So Gary came out and "collected evidence," sweeping the glass in the driveway, dusting for prints etc (Thanks for doing this on your day off Gary.) He tells her it's a long shot, but they'll run the evidence and put a trace out on the car (lowjack type thing... I had to change the password so she couldn't log in and find it lol.) She called Kathy, our insurance agent, and panicked to her as well.... Kathy played ball and kept it going as well.

This all took about 3 hours. Around lunch time, she finally started putting things together. Then came "the call...." I have never in my life heard that many 4 letter words come from her mouth. See I do this sort of thing every year.... and every year she claims "you'll never get me again." Then the next year she forgets.... and we go through this cycle again.

So, my fellow pranksters... how was your Fools Day?

Woah--that's a real prank.  Does she ever get you back?

This was my husband and 7 year old's combined April Fool's effort on her teacher with her weekly reading log:

i like that on the road is marked with a question mark where they ask fiction or non-fiction.  rating the bible only 2 stars is kind of harsh...

The Bible is NOT an easy read.  I would take off another star for Genesis overdoing the geneology. (For example Genesis 46:8-27)  So many characters are mentioned and then never appear again in the story.  Seems erroneous.

I prefer a good page turning Grisham!

I posted that I was leaving the PGA to grow the sport of KANINHOP!

That was my favorite part

My husband always sends a note out to the parents of the kids in our afterschool nature program, telling them what we will be doing that day so the kids can be prepared and properly dressed.  He sent this out yesterday.

Hello!  It looks to be a beautiful, windy, sunny afternoon with temperatures in the low 50s.  In honor of the true breaking of Spring, the Taproot Group will head to an old favorite destination for this time of year--Coral Ridge Mall to make stuffed toys at Build-a-Bear!  Afterwards, we'll get a snack at the cookie store nearby and then cruise down to Best Buy to watch TV and play video games.  Please send along at least $75 for the stuffed toy and cookies.  If you really love your child, send more money.

April Fools!  We'll actually go to Clamshellica, which with the recent high water has been wonderfully replenished with new rocks, shells, driftwood, fossils, and interesting flood treasures.

certainly not an easy read, but better than 2-star poetry and story telling, no matter what you believe!

After our flight landed in Memphis  yesterday, the flight attendant came over the intercom welcoming everyone to Knoxville, TN!  A few people started freaking out until she gave a polite 'April Fools!"

Ha, I love the reading log! How did the teacher respond?

The wife tries very hard to get me back, often after april 1... when she's still fuming from the pranks I pull. Unfortunately, she still hasn't learned to put a ton of effort into it to get the desired result. She has filled my car with packing peanuts (through the sunroof might I add) and that was pretty funny... Think floor to ceiling with packing peanuts.

I convinced about half my class that they had both standardized testing and a fitness test on April 1. I post a daily "morning message" on the projector with a funny picture, assignment for morning work, and reminders about the day's "specials" (music, art, PE, etc.) and any special happenings. The April 1 message told them about the tests, with an asterisk after. In fine print at the bottom, it said, "April Fool's". There were also two pictures of laughing cats. But I managed to fool at least ten kids. The ones who got it managed to keep straight faces and "convince" the ones who didn't that we really had all those tests. It was a lesson in "ALWAYS read the fine print"!

I had a professor like that! She posted a problem on the first day of my Advanced Theoretical Physics class... it was, to say the least, the most over the top complex problem I have ever seen... everyone in the class was in a panic because if this was the first day... how was the rest of the semester going to be? It took me about 15 minutes before I realized the fine print said "This problem is designed to see if you can read the fine details. If you can, stop working, and come turn in the problem to me, then you are dismissed until tomorrow." People were SHOCKED when I stood up, walked up to her desk and set the paper on it. Then slowly others began to follow. It was a 2 hour class... by the end, some were still working on it... I know this, because my girlfriend was one of them. That definitely taught me to read the fine print.
