Chicago Marathon : Official Thread

I am in. I signed up for it every year for the last 10 years . finished 6 times so yeah I got in.

Got in through the lottery as well!!

This will be my third time running Chicago and 12th marathon overall. I'd have to say Chicago is my favorite. It's huge, local (for me) the crowds are awesome and the city seems to be very welcoming to the runners.

Chicago will be the first of three marathons that I am running this fall (I'm signed up for New York and Naperville). I'm really glad Chicago is the first as that is my goal race this year.

I got in with the lottery; this will be my second one @ Chicago

Looking forward to the crowds & course - the last few Ive done had pretty boring courses comparatively

I didn't get in. But I will be there, cheering on everybody!

Three times! Did it last year, in fact, I still didn't get in.

I am sorry to hear that.

I am doing it mostly because I have too if I want to keep my legacy. If I get faster or price goes up much more I might just stop. almost doubled in the last 10 years.

Got the lottery email this morning... I got in (face of immense worry, not disappointment). I really want to sign-up but having serious self doubt right now.

I have done few 13.1's in recent past but never taken on a beast this big. It was a lazy, workout-free winter... so this is a low point in fitness level as well. 20weeks enough training time to somehow crawl over the finish line?
