Total Time = 53m
Overall Rank = /

Age Group Rank = 8/15
Pre-race routine:

HAd a meeting in town, grabbed a smoothie, went to the race and gabbed a bit.
Event warmup:

Stretch jog, stretch more suit up and get wet :) The water felt good in the heat. The best thing was the coulds came over just as the run started to it cooled things off by then.
Run
  • 00m 1s
  • 0.01 miles
  • 01m 40s  min/mile
Transition 1
  • 00m
Swim
  • 24m
  • 1500 meters
  • 01m 36s / 100 meters
What would you do differently?:

This wasn't a real race for me, but if it were I would have been quicker at the truns and more aggressive with the drafting. I did this exactly how I wanted to though. Good clean hard effort :)
Transition 2
  • 01m 50s
Comments:

Went slow on purpose and put on a bandaid and socks, dried the feet really well. took my time and then headed out with Matt.
What would you do differently?:

Planned it this way, so nothing :)
Run
  • 27m 45s
  • 3.11 miles
  • 08m 55s  min/mile
Comments:

Don't remember the exact time, but I know I was JUST under 9 min miles - exactly where I wanted and without a watch!! I do know that the first mile was 9:30 since I was with Matt. I stopped for a drink at the turn around and then caught back up to Stacie and ran with her for a while. I put in a short pick up near the end and paced someone in, then let her sprint while I laid back :)
What would you do differently?:

I wasn't really racing the run, so nothing :)
Post race
Warm down:

little stretching and then some heavy lifting (beer)

What limited your ability to perform faster:

mid taper for a bigger race this weekend!

Event comments:

Another great Aquathon!! Plus I made out like a bandit last night with a canister of Heed and a Towel plus Chris got a $20 cert!! Lots of people there and in general a very fun time! Again a 5 for the money!!

Awe!  You are so nice. It must have been that dunking I gave you at the start of the race.  My back is still hurting!  Did you gain weight or something?  JK JK.

How'd you guys win all that stuff? My goodness - that basically pays for Chris's entries the last two times, and possibly the next time as well. Here I thought Mark was the lucky one, but apparently you're a sleeper!

 Glad the hip felt good.
