Funny!

On the other hand I'm taking time off. The lingering cold developed into some bacterial sinusitis and I just feel like sleeping, being warm and checking what others are doing.

No Tri's. I have a local Kiwanis 5k on Saturday. The drama being daughters #2 & 3 have thrown down a challenge and want to beat me almost as bad as they want to beat each other. The problem is they both may do it. They are now within 1 minute of my average time. daughter #2 was named captain of their cross country team a month ago and she has been pushing herself and her sister because she wants to make the State tournament. They missed by 15 seconds last fall, and she can taste it.

I may do a century ride at the end of the month, it depends on how some family stuff flushes out.

I do have an Oly first weekend of August.

Nice job on all the workouts everyone! It's really inspiring to see all the awesome stuff everyone is doing and challenging themselves with! I have been checking in here almost daily and am very motivated to get back and start working out again.

I have a sprint tri at the end of July and an oly in the beginning of August, though work may prevent me from the August one.

Keep up the awesome work!!!

Same here Mark. I came down with some sort of chest cold Saturday and spent all day Sunday and Monday on the couch. I felt weak Tuesday and Wednesday but woke up yesterday feeling great. I told my wife if my energy levels stay high I wanted to go for an OWS in the evening after work. I was feeling good when I got home so I decided I could go for an OWS. I had all intentions in taking it easy on the swim but after a couple of 150yd warm ups I was feeling pretty good so I just relaxed and swam. For the FIRST TIME EVER I swam for 25' nonstop in open water and the Garmin said I went 1200yds. This is a major milestone for me not to mention a real big confidence booster. I really think the break helped out and I'm very happy to be back in the water and on the road again.

I am still the master of my domain! Not in a Seinfeld sense. I ran the 5k at 23:46 and beat both daughters by about 1 minute and 1:30. Daughter #2 was 3rd in her age group 15-19/ 26 OA and daughter #3 was 5th 35th oa out of 126 runners. I was 17 OA and #1 in the 45-49 AG. Over all a good day for us. also had 9:33 for 1 mile cool down.
