Snot rocket without smearing your sleeve or leg at 30+ MPH?

The ability to (and experience with) write your name in the snow on the side of a run at a ski area. I'm not sure it makes me more of a man, but when you gotta go, you might as well leave your mark!

Well, with any luck, I will be killing, processing and grilling my first deer this fall.

Awesome. Bow, shotgun or rifle?

Rifle. Shotguns aren't generally used for deer.

I think he meant to say bow, rifle, or pick axe?

Walking a slippery slope in calling something uniquely a 'man skill.'

Well, everyone knows that pick-axes aren't appropriate for deet, too skittish. That's what you use for the Grizzlies.

Here in the crowded Eastern half of the US, a shotgun with deer slugs is much preferred to a rifle.

What other skills are required for Man Card Retainment?

Yep most of Illinois you can't use a rifle, just bow or shotgun.  That said the deer are also as thick as flies most of the time.  I have actually been working deer check once when a guy shot his limit with one slug, went through the doe and hit another deer right next to her that he hadn't even seen.

Then again you see some really amusing (in a sick kind of way) stuff working deer check for a weekend.

We have several counties in North Carolina that require the use of single shot rifles no larger than .22 cal. Remington sold ALOT of Number 1 22-250's here. I don't like to kill things, but my ex b/f taught me to hunt (yes, you can hunt without killing ... it's like shopping without buying) and shoot well enough to if I needed ... and I've field dressed enough to do a pretty decent job. I love venison, though and have learned many good ways to cook it.

*starts to drool*

*marks black powder, bow and open hunting season on the calendar*

*decides appropriate date to start sucking up to the ex for free venison*

That's one ding against ya... shotguns are used annoyingly often in the midwest for deer... stupid ordinances...

Nope...I've seen women unashamedly adjust the sports bra 'package' while playing sports.

Write your name in the snow while peeing...the greatest of all man skills.  Even better if you can do it in cursive.

Think a woman would throw her back out trying to get the hip action to attempt that.
