GROUP HUG!!!! NOTE: This does NOT mean I want your big toe planted on the left lens of my goggles on Saturday morning!!! If a big toe is all you've gotten planted on your goggles, you're doing good. When I swim around other ppl these days, I do a "wax on, wax off" type of swim motion to protect my nose and eyes. I've gotten clobbered too many times to not swim defensively. See all you ppl on Saturday morning. |

Veteran 216 WICHITA FALLS, Texas | Subject: RE: B2B 2014 I would do that wax on/off but that all ended in 2009 with all of my surgeries before I retired from the Army. Should reconstructive surgery did wonders for me, but I've got permanent range of motion limitations now, so I tend to look awesome for the first 50m or so, then I revert to my SF training and go into survival mode! I do plan on setting multiple PRs on the swim this year though. I've heard Poseidon is going to be nearby cheering us on and he plans on giving us a "little" push! Truck is loaded. Heading out now to begin the final leg of this year's Ironman. See everyone in a day or so. If I don't see you, I hope and pray that everyone has a fantastic and safe weekend!! Have to be high! 20 OA 2 AG Tough race today! Tried to F with the cheaters (peloton) and burnt tons of matches that I didn't have. I hope that I, at least, annoyed those faq'ers. Had a good day, although T1 was TERRIBLE. Weather was perfect. |

Interpretation: I'm a sore loser who slings words around when I don''t do what I expected for myself race wise to do better. But the weather was great so that makes it okay for me to be a jack in documenting failure personal vomit instead of taking time to write race report down. Interpretation: I have no f#@n idea what I'm talking about and I have no problem with cheating d00d is a VERY fast athlete who races clean. There was a large draft pack that I (and many others) clearly saw at the front of the HIM. I estimated at least 12 in the peloton. They were cheating. This bothers those of us who have ethics and follow the rules. Apparently, you do not? Edited by riltri 2014-10-27 6:39 AM |

Regular 147 | Subject: RE: B2B 2014 d00d, great race! Congrats! Hated to see the peloton and I'm certain that the cheater affected the final results. It's sad that a small number of men with self esteem issues ruin it for those who are man enough to compete ethically. |

Elite 3683 Whispering Pines, North Carolina | Subject: RE: B2B 2014 hey, riltri, thanks! how'd your race go? couldn't ask for better weather! the current was awesome, especially for the full, and the low winds made for a pretty good day. really like this event and will be back again next year (prob the half again). B2B puts on a stellar race. Edited by d00d 2014-10-27 8:52 AM |

Veteran 434 Apex, NC | Subject: RE: B2B 2014 d00d, you put together a great race! You deserve it! I too get caught up in trying to keep up with the drafters (obviously a long way back) on principle or calling them out and find the same as you that it just costs me energy. Anyway, feel good about the race and take some recovery time. |

B2B puts on a stellar race. Happy with the results. Got 3rd in AG but major disappointed in my time. The last 4 miles took over 52 minutes. Third HIM and third time my stomach has shut down around mile 6. I think it's a combination of not having my nutrition/hydration figured out and not in good enough condition. Had gall bladder removed mid-July but that's not an excuse. I could/should have come in better prepared. Edited by riltri 2014-10-27 3:17 PM |

Dang, nice job man! Actually BT represented nicely at the race! I am seriously considering doing tjhe half again next year (I did the full in 2010 and the half in 2012...I think). Its time to do this one again- love B2B! d00d, maybe you can guilt me into actually signing up when the time comes :-) And we need to get that qrkid to come back to tris and defend his 2009 title! |

I say we have d00d and eppie face off so that d00d can defend his honor. Good news there is that eppie actually wrote a coherent sentence. Bad news was that it was inappropriate and misplaced, and called out one of the more upstanding guys around. |

Bad news was that it was inappropriate and misplaced, and called out one of the more upstanding guys around. For what its worth... I was on the Full and I was passed by a group of about six who were all HIM AND drafting big time. If anyone says there was no drafting taking place, I'll have to throw the BS flag. I believe in doing Tri's as an individual sport. If it is a draft legal race then so be it, 99.999% are not. If you want to draft, take up road racing and don't break the rules established for the sport. YES, THERE WERE DRAFTERS. YES, THEY CHEATING. NO, THEY DID NOT xxx NOT PUT IN THE SAME AMOUNT OF EFFORT EVERY OTHER ATHLETE DID..... Wankers... |

When you say stuff like this (From your post above: Interpretation: I'm a sore loser who slings words around when I don''t do what I expected for myself race wise to do better. Eppie, we value you as a human, but we just can't understand you. Why are you so negative (and incomprehensible)? |
