Comments:

Started off fast and used the net downhill over the first mile to gain some time but I didn't kill it. 2nd mile was harder with more climbing but I still felt ok. Pushed the last mile home trying to catch a few guys but couldn't. Tough finish uphill.
What would you do differently?:

Not much. Tough course to pace on.

Warm down:

3.5 mile run home.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Really no speedwork over the past few months as I was in Ironman mode. So I'm quite happy with this. Dropped 54 seconds off my time from when I ran it in 2010. With a good offseason, next year could be interesting.

Great job!!  For having done little/no speedwork this season, 3rd AG and 9th OA is pretty darn awesome.  Plus improving your time by that much clearly shows how much you've improved over the past 4 years.  Keep up the good work and congratulations!

BTW, your RR title just about gave me a heart attack.  I'm doing the Longmont Oktoberfest tri tomorrow and had a jolt of, "OMG, was the race today, not tomorrow?!"  Thanks for the little HR boost.
