Run
Comments: This was my longest run to date, so I picked a 3 hour walk/run group for my pace. I had planned on going 3:30:00 so I didn't expect anything great. The weather was perfect, my fluids were perfect, and my legs were only a little tight. With the pace group, we nailed the first 20K with ease. As soon as I hit the last 10K, it was all over...I was spent. My group left my gaze little by little and the climbs were brutal. I stopped 4-5 times to stretch out, hoping to get back on pace. With a little under 5K left, I held a decent pace and made sure I sprinted across the finish line. What would you do differently?: Wear better moisture wicking clothes. It was cold in some parts, but I was mostly overdressed. Post race
Warm down: I was in a lot of pain and did my best to get back to the group. I stretched quite a bit and then went right to Harvey's before coming back across the border. I can't wait to do it again and beat my time. What limited your ability to perform faster: Not enough training. I was only training at about 50% distance for my long run. Event comments: Very fun race, amazing volunteers, and vendors put on a good show. Can't wait for the next one. Last updated: 2015-04-29 12:00 AM

Rolled out my muscles, was feeling particularly sore that morning. Had a Cliff bar breakfast and was out the door. I'm feeling better about getting food and water down and being ready to run.
I jogged around the start area, I was starting in the back so I had plenty of time and space to warm up. I threw on my headphones and chatted with a gentleman until start time. I don't know too much about running warm up as it isn't really my cup of tea, but I am getting better.
