I'm in agreement with everyone. I have a hard time taking them but I know they are definately needed. My biggest problem is I'm still eating like a horse on my rest day.....
I have the same issues, and am dealing with a cervical injury, so I have a few extra rest days thrown in for medical reasons. I've found that eating a couple of bananas or other fruit takes care of this for me on those days (today I've had 4 or 5 bananas ). They are about 100 calories apiece, so you can eat a couple or three of them at a time to fill you up, and not have extra empty garbabe calories. It would take 5.5 bananas to equal the calories of a big mac (560 calories - without fries or the shake ), which would fill you up more? Bananas may not be the answer for you, but I am sure there is a fruit out there to substitute and fill your gut up. |
