 ...errr, I mean YES!  I like this idea.  I would personally think post of the "week".

Perhaps separate (or maybe not in your way of thinking Bear) flagging of inspirational race reports would also be very helpful/beneficial.  There's a gold-mine of great stuff among the reports that I wouldn't mind re-reading.

Hmmm. Both good ideas. I really like the Race Report one. I'm not crazy about "best of" lists for forums generally, but POTD or POTW both have potential and the Race Reports forum is a unique animal.

Does anyone know of a forum site that has a Post of the Day feature or something similar? I'd like to see one in action if possible.

I personally like my "I'm not a drunk...but I play one on BT" and think it should be nominated. 

I think RR of the week, or having options to vote such as Funniest RR and Inspirational RR of the week would be nice.

I don't understand the question.  Are there other forum sites?    On my RR idea, in retrospect, it might turn into EVERYONE flagging EVERY race report.  Maybe not, but it might.  A solution could be Comets RR of the week, with only those sort of being "flagged" for future browsing.  That might get me to read a RR I otherwise didn't take the time to read for a variety of reasons.

Or a way for individual users to flag WHATEVER THREAD they want for their own personal use.  For, eg, I recall reading TriTakeMeAway (I think) ironman race report and finding it moving.  I also found a Race Wheel comparison thread on tubulars vs. clinchers thread interesting.  If I could non-publicly flag those for my own personal browse later, that'd be cool.

I just add these to my favorites on Internet Explorer. And no, there are no other forums outside of BT. That was just a myth.

And don't forget to add a "punishment feature" for anyone caught pimping his/her own post!
