Subject: RE: 9.10.16 Super Saturday! This morning it was hit the road at 3:45 to make it to Monticello for my second (and last ) triathlon for the season. I wasn't expecting it to actually be held as the forecast was calling for thunderstorms, and they had a tornado warning the night before. It rained for pretty much the entire event, from just a mist to a steady rain.
I was about a minute off on my swim (sighting was horrible... ), but I was almost a minute faster on the run. I think the run was quicker because the bike was about a mile shorter at 11 miles.
It was a fun race. There were only 33 participants, so it was a bit friendlier than the other race I did with over 200 racers. (That's not to say the Valpo Tri wasn't friendly; it was just a lot more people... )
Since they are an hour ahead of us, I was able to run the race, go to the awards lunch, and still be home by 11:30 in time to pick my daughter up from swimming practice.
I did get a bit out of routine though with my plank and pushups. I didn't do those until about 7:30 tonight instead of my usual first thing in the morning while the coffee brews.
