7.29.17 Super Saturday!

Way to go on your race!!!!
I got in a near 20 mile ride with a young man from church who is fairly new to cycling. We did a few hills on our ride, which brought our overall speed down, but I needed some good hill work, so it's all good.

That is awesome--glad to see all that hard training you've put in pay off! Day off here due to travel-related fatigue. I did some easy workouts Friday but by the end of it was totally exhausted and my feet had swollen up so much it was hard to get into my running or bike shoes. That happen sometimes, especially if I've done a hard race or workout in the few days before the trip. Just too much time sitting on a plane.

Mostly lazed around, took some short walks, and removed an epic amount of cat hair from my work clothes (the "fur kids" managed to get into the closet over break and made a "nest" in there). Feeling better this morning (Sunday) and hoping to get in my long (3:15) ride soon.

Race this past morning, draft legal sprint. 7am start. Was raining pretty good until 6am. 9th OA
