Subject: RE: 05.02.2019 Thursday Training! Congrats on the CSS trial and progress! I guess the only good thing about being injured is no one will make me do that turkey again any time soon. I don't mind the 400, but even as a youth swimmer I never really figured out how to properly pace a 200--either crash and burn or start too slow and then too much left over. And doing the 400 first adds to the guesswork. Ugh.
1400 yards of "swimming" here--500 total of free with fins; 450 dolphin kick with fins; the rest mainly breaststroke. Suffice to say I am really slow, even with the fins! (Free is about 15-20 seconds/100 yards over my normal easy pace. ) Although, alarmingly, still faster than some of the "triathlete" types at the pool.
Trainer ride planned for later with some Z3 intervals. Cleared to run as of yesterday but going to wait at least a few more days. Still having some swelling and nerve pain issues and hoping some new meds will kick in to help with that before I try running again. Edited by Hot Runner 2019-05-02 2:21 PM
