I'm a middle school teacher therefore I work in a germ factory. I rarely get sick as well.

My husband and I are training our new puppy to follow in his late brother's paw steps as a therapy/comfort dog at the hospitals and DIA. We have to get flu shots if we want to volunteer.

People hoarding toilet paper?! SMH. People are stupid...uh, not us, other people. I guess when people are in a panic they feel they need to “do something”. It’s not like TP is “essential”. This is my my travelogue of mine and Nick’s trek to Everest Base Camp in 2014.

“At lunch I had to go to the bathroom as I've had diarrhea for 2 days. The outhouse at the cafe was literally a dung house! It was a small room with a huge pile of fresh dung on one side, big bags of pine cones on the other side and a hole in the floor to do your business. I decided I would hold off going. Nick and I debated the use of the pine cones. Were they for fuel for the winter or for wiping? IDK.”

I watched it

The good :
- The ban on European travellers is the right thing to do
- Even without details, it's obvious he will provide the fiscal stimulus needed

The bad :
- His whole demeanor did not inspire confidence. He was not in his MAGA rally form.
- He bungled the message of what would be banned. He said goods and he wasn't clear on US residents coming back. I listened and thought to myself "holy $hit", this is huge. Especially because of goods.
- Placing blame has nothing but downside

I think Pence and Fauci have a lot more credibilty on the situation at this point

I would like to see Canada impose the same bans. If we don't the US will ban Canadian travel.

Yeah it was not his best performance. He basically read the script. He would be well served to practice and become very familiar with the speech so it doesn’t look like he is reading it for the first time. He took some good advice from someone to not ad lib.

I was surprised at the travel ban from Europe sans UK. Maybe we “trust” UK screening more than other counties?

There are a lot of doomsayer predictions out there but I’m just not on board. Or maybe I just think trying to stop the spread is a fools errand. Take steps to protect the elderly and the people who are at risk but trust people to make their own decisions. If you are 80 years old and have heigh BP, don’t go to the BB game!


Off topic joke for the day RE toilet paper.

A bear and a rabbit are taking a dump in the woods. The bear asked the rabbit if poop sticks to his fur. They rabbit says “Yes it does!” So the bear wiped his asz with the rabbit.

You will see that the United States has the lowest "Infected per 1M population" of any country where the virus is now (among developed countries). Because, you know, the administration has done nothing.  LOL

38 million We do count the polar bears however.

Trudeau is now in quarantine.
His wife has come down with a fever after visiting ...wait for it.....the only European place Trump didn't ban.. the UK :-)
