Comments: so happy with this result-even though my ranking was terrible; I still didn't give up too much time; could not believe that I came out of the water right next to Bobby! https://connect.garmin.com/modern/activity/9578394855/1 What would you do differently?: not a thing Transition 1
Comments: out of the water and started to haul up the ~0.25 mile run to T1, feet were freezing from the grass with cold condensation and I couldn't feel my toes for about 20 minutes into the bike; slipped on my cut shoes and RAN What would you do differently?: nothing Bike
Comments: had the course to myself for a lot of it; no one to catch/no one passing me after I caught all the faster swimmers from the elite group, which I did pretty quickly https://connect.garmin.com/modern/activity/9578401623/3 What would you do differently?: nothing Transition 2
Comments: got a comment as I was leaving my transition spot from a volunteer- "now that's a transition!" What would you do differently?: I was lightning quick--and yet others were still faster, boy oh boy Run
Comments: I could have pushed a bit harder, but didn't want to worsen any injury and my hip still isn't right; plus my left knee has been sore ever since the beach https://connect.garmin.com/modern/activity/9578401623/5 What would you do differently?: nothing Post race
Warm down: just hung out a bit; drank some fluid/ate a granola bar; chatted with Bobby and a few racers https://my1.raceresult.com/217836/RRPublish/pdf.php?name=Result%20Li... What limited your ability to perform faster: didn't want to push super hard on the run Event comments: A great race and a great cause! Who doesn't hate pediatric cancer. Extremely well organized. Tons of volunteers. A dozen emails about the athlete's guide/where to park/what was happening/swim waves/directions for which way to go. I very much enjoyed it and loved the venue. A bit of a challenge on the bike but the swim was great and the run had just a bit of bite. A+ Last updated: 2022-08-18 12:00 AM

got up pretty early-stayed w Bobby at the Comfort Inn and he likes to get up early and caffeinate; so up at 4ish; usual banana/G2 w nuun/coffee and Boost HN= ~400cal; BR/shower/dress--go
we went out and swam to the second buoy and back; only about 5 minutes; water was ~72; air was 55 initially; I counted that it was only about 75 strokes from the buoy to the shore; did manage to fall onto a rock and hit my hand; I'm such a klutz
