London
Subject: London Calling
hi all,
No really - I'm currently living in London UK....

Thought I would delurk for a moment, I have finally decide to get back into shape and to actually do the Olympic distance tri I have been contemplating for the past two years; so this is my (slightly pre-emptive) new year's resolution.

This seems like a fun and encouraging place to get started. I'm curious as to whether there are any other Londoners on the boards? And where people are from in general?

Thanks,

Hello BikergirlDK

Welcome to BT
from a guy who doesn't really know his way around the web-site

I'm glad I came to welcome you
after reading Chris Tree's post here
I discovered the England section!
(Living in Wales I have to remember that many treat England as the whole of the UK
[gosh, that sounded vexed])

BT is a great place for article's
but more inportantly a great place for encouragement [inspiration]
they are a really felicitous bunch

Thanks guys and girl for the encouraging words.
Nice to meet you all.

So it is basically public humiliation that keeps people going that's good to know.

Looking forward to getting started properly, I now have an urge to pack my running shoes for the holidays despite knowing that is going to be freezing cold.

Well greater London.

Good luck with getting the training started and your flight. That fog looks thick!

Hmmm. Didn't undestand the end of that last post, but definitely pack your running shoes. When I go home for just a few days my family always asks why I have such a big suitcase . . . guess they don't understand how much space running shoes and clothes can take up.

Happy holidays.

Leicester answering! At least for the next 2 weeks, then I am New Zealand (home)-bound for good. And I AM taking my bike with me, on the plane, because I like it so much and I can't trust the freight guys.

SO, I'm sacrificing clothes in sea freight for my bike on the plane. Oh, what a geek!!

Welcome to BT, this is an amazing site, and everyone is awesome!

Have a great Christmas.
