Subject: RE: Bike fitting question There are no such thing as "standard sizes for frames and a person's height or inseam." Height and inseam are just two of a dozen or so measurements that go into bike fit. As I said in an earlier post, your height has as much to do with bike size as it has to do with shoe size.
IMHO that bike is way too small for you. As an example, I'm a little cramped on a 54 and I'm 5'9." You can put on a longer stem, move your seat back (and up ) all the way, but you're liable to still be cramped. Keep in mind that a longer stem may effect the stability of the bike, especially on fast descents.
The bike is probably a better fit on GF than on you, but could be a little big for her as well. Edited by the bear 2004-08-17 12:37 PM
