Actually if you lost 10% BF you would lose 20 lbs and be at 185.  Good luck on losing JUST bodyfat.

Thanks! You know, depending on which formula I use, I get my number and your number, but either way I'll be happy just to be on the small side of 200 again

See you all at the scales next Wed.!

May I hop on the bandwagon here? I was doing pretty well for a while but life has gotten more complicated and my resolve is dwindling. Accountability would be nice for me.

Starting weight: 166 (4/1)

Goal weight: 140 (7/4)

Thanks!

Right after I get up in the morning. All variables should be pretty much eliminated by doing it then I think.

Rynamite,  I always weigh in when I get up.  That way the variables are at a minimum.  If you only weigh once a week make it the same day as well.

Hi,
I am new here, and new to triathlon training. My history: I used to run, then I quit smoking and quit running at the same time. That was three years ago on May 21st, 2007. I don't know what I was thinking about the quitting running part. Then I gained 35 pounds. I have NOT been able to get it off, even when I started a running program again. So I am trying this.

Height: 5'5"
Weight: 178 lbs.
Goal weight: 140 lbs. (although I would be happy with 145lbs.)
Sex: Female

I am hoping that the combination of all three exercises helps take the weight off. Group effort helped me quit smoking - I hope this can help me lose the weight.

Thanks for the opportunity to participate.

Nancylee,  Your in and good luck.  Weighin is tomorrow.  Team Skinny Summer Solstoce - 04/04/2007.  It will take time, but keep triing.  Use the logs.  Try to track what you eat and when AM , OM, before bed.  You wight find a few things to cut out that will start working your way down faster.  Such as drink 1/2 gal of water instead of sodas.

""... what time of day does everyone weigh themselves?""

I wish I could weigh myself first thing in the morning, but the scale I use is at the gym AND I don't have a body fat calculator at home to use in the morning. I don't see the point in weighing myself in the morning and then doing a body fat count in the afternoon. I'm just trying to stay consistent in doing both right after work.

Got sick on Friday so I've had to take the last 4 days off from working out. I still have some congestion in my chest but I think I'll do a light jog on the treadmill today and see how that goes. I'm bummed out because I wanted this week to be a big improvement. Oh well, at least I was good with what I ate.
