So what's up next for everybody?

And, as a side note, what are any big long term goals you have, if any?

Up next for me is the Desert Half Iron (Osoyoos) in a week and a half, kinda nervous and stressed about it since it's my first at that distance and it's supposed to be a tough bike course.

Wow good luck!

I love Osoyoos, one of my favorite places in the Okanagan I might do that race next year if I'm ready to make the transition to half-ironmans!

Next on my list is the Peach Classic Triathlon in Penticton, and I'm super excited for it!!! I hear the bike course is quite tough, so I'm kinda scared about that, but I think all my training is finally paying off!

As for long term goals, it's definitely ALL bike based! I just want to get throught the bike leg (of any tri) with less then 10 people passing me! That's about it :P

Good luck in Osoyoos dude!!! I'm sure you'll rock it!!

Thanks Derek, and good luck to you the following weekend in Penticton!!

Crazypop - how was the bike course? I wanted to try and get out there as well but I never had the chance.

Well, the start is a bit of flat then up hill thru richter pass..not that bad then little hills that don't give you time to rest then you have a little loop that is not that bad then you start back on the little hills and up the back of Richter pass..thats the kicker...and when you see the spotted lake you feel so good cause its like 11k of down hill back to the start..thats where you should start spinning to get the legs back.

Yaletown Grand Prix on Sunday!

At the beginning of the year I was planning for Yaletown to be my A race. I started a peak a couple of weeks ago and was going to have another peak for Yaletown. Ended up coming 3rd in a race I thought I could never do well in (I was close to DFL last year) and then won an omnium race last weekend. I haven't ridden my bike at all this week due to some other obligations, I'm thinking about going up the Grouse Grind tonight and skipping cycling, so long story short, I will not be in good shape for Sunday.

Oh well, there's lots of other races.

Good luck guys.

I've got 3 more tris this year - Tri of Compassion & Self Transcendence (both in Victoria) and Apple (Kelowna).  Then, yes.. Leah and I will be Muddy Buddies in Sept.

Let the games continue!

DrLeah - thanks, and good luck in the Divas race.

Jen - good luck in Yaletown, I watched it last year and it was great but I won't be able to make it down this year. Congrats on the previous good finishes too!

Vaiza - Sounds like you have a few good races left. I think I'm gonna do Kelowna too, maybe I'll see you there??

Crazypop - that's pretty much what I was envisioning. I've been trying to get profile maps, tips and whatever I could to see what it would be like since I couldn't make it over there.

Wow, sounds like everyone has some good goals coming up! As for me, nothing else registered this season, but I might try to get one more in, depending on work and some other committments. I now have more serious plans to run the RVM 1/2 marathon in October. So we shall see! Good luck to everyone who is still racing!

Desert half in only 6 days hmmmm first ever 1/2 IM.

I did the Bike course a few weeks ago with Crazy pop. The hills are not so steep as they are just LONG. The rollers don't allow for much recovery..the loop at the mid point is a nice flat section and a welcome change of up/down/up down. I think I will be walking the run portion also. Oh well they allow eight hours.
