We could be: The 7 Virtues, 7th Heavon, 711 or bust, 7even, 7> ALL, 7777 Ace high, or punt on the 7 variations, anyway have to go pack Ill think on it.

Missed yesterday due to holoween, trying to figure out whether to make it up or not. 3 brick days back to back would be nasty. Bike/run 40/31, 40/46 and 117/20 bricks ouche. I may have to just write it off.

I always got told a missed workout was a missed workout. If you keep trying to make them up you will get worn out so just move on... its long term regular habits that gain fitness not one workout...

Having said that obviously key workouts (like long runs or rides) should be done (made up) by sacrificing something less important in your schedule!

Im sure you'll work it out!!!

Thanks Cat for allowing me to be a part of the elite team 7 group.

I am 6' 4", 240lb. ,55yo retired firefighter from a running background. Just started working out and training for something in the spring about 4 weeks ago. My chiropractor (BT member sahooper) decided to do a sprint and enlisted me to be a part of her team and help "train" some of the 40+ people she has signed up....I think it is just job security on her part to get this many people hitting the road together.

My wife and I are raising our 8yo grand-daughter and for the first time since 1974 I am not working 2-3 jobs. I am now a "stay at home dad (grand-dad)". This is great for training from a time standpoint but having all that time on my hands is not great for my motivation...So please feel free to use whatever is necessary to hekp get me out on the roads.

I am so looking forward to this month to see how things go...already went out yesterday and ran, going to bike today.

Steve

Got in a great 6km run this morning.

New rule for me though:  I'm not to begin a run after 6:30am and I'm to be done by 7:30.  It was WAY too hot this morning.

Yeah, I've got the opposite problem. Almost 4 miles this AM, it was hovering around freezing and i have not pulled out all my cold weather gear.

I'm good with Kangaroos, Hippos, Kangarippos (try find a picture of that) ...

But, I'm 2 for 2 for November. Swam yesterday, ran to day. ONly 23 more to go.

Welcome Steve! What a wonderful opportunity (and sometime-challenge, I imagine) to get to know your granddaughter and be a stay at home dad.  I have a nine year old daughter myself-- she's really the one who motivated me to start swimming. Now we go swim laps together once in a while-- she's already faster than me. (LOL--No real challenge there!)  Glad to have you!

not running or anything today. dh got called in (again) so i'm having a day off. it's real easy to be annoyed about that when i'm laying in bed thinking about it, but when i actually got OUT of bed, my legs are smoked from yesterday, so it's fine.
a new steve, hmmmmmm how will i tell you apart?? lol

steve-beowolf steve- my run wasnt as great as you think yesterday, the time was just the average, my first three were sub 8 i think, then i just kind of jogged the last three, i wish i had hit my watch at each mile so i knew, but i just kind of glanced at it, and kept going. i'm still smoked, no doubt

anyone heard from our one yet? SouapQueen2? i didn't see any posts, but i haven't had any coffee yet.

cat--you're still on THIS team right?? lol--i've been over reading twsnbn

ok

Thanks Jenna...Yes it is sometimes a challenge but after 3 other kids I at least have a clue as to what to watch out for....I just have to remember to subtract 2 years from anything that my daughter did to account for the new generation...and to maybe head this one off before she gets to trouble.

I went for a run the other day and took her with me for a bike ride...great idea, right!!!

She has a flat tire about 1.5m from the house so we have to walk back...her whinning the entire time about how "far" it was, me aggrivated that I went out to RUN and wind up walking for over a mile.....then I have to drive back and get the bike. I was NOT a happy camper....then she crawles up into my lap and thenks me for taking her and wants to know when we can do that again...how can you stay mad at that.

Reno 8, I was thinking you actually lived in Reno until I checked your page. I was hoping to have a BT er within 200-300 miles of me. I am a bit remote. OH well glad to have you along. Long day for me today 8am to 9pm with a final tomorrow. Should prove to be a late night if I run and study after class at 9pm.

Thought for the day; "Why is it always warmer in the country than it is in the summer?" Goldy Hawn.

More 7s: 7 Swans a Swimming, 7 & 7, Lucky 7's, Engine 7 (I think I can, I think I can).

Alysssa you ever hear that song Mr. Mom? It is a song about a guy who lost his job and got to be a stay at home Dad and figured that would be easy cheasy.

It goes on about rewinding Barney for the 16th time snacks at 8 naps at 9.
Crayons go up one drawer higher don't go well in a matag dryer.
Rewind Barney for the 17th time, snacks at 8 naps at 9.... etc.

Ya I go nuts on non-exercize days too. Its like arg I need to go exercize, bike, run, something....
and end up EATING. The kids need to seriously get that chocholate out of sight! And that full bag of chewy oatmeal cookies on the counter, next to the chips and the chocholate chip granola bars, and the sugar cerials, etc.

My scale is broken again, hasn't moved in a week. I guess not moving up is a good thing.

Currently studying "Best practice strategies and interventions for autism spectrum disorders" for my final tomorrow, very um, good for insomnia, not so good for interest span. So who wants to hear about the 21 areas of needed knowledge based on the 1997 California Commsion on.. blah.blah blah ?

i think i HAVE heard that song. i can't remember it, but it sounds all too familiar
thank god for dvd players anyway. i don't have to actually rewind anymore, but i homeschool, so i can't send 'em off to school either.

i think my scale is broken too, except mine's moving in the wrong direction, cheap crappy walmart special!! time for a new one!

well, tomorrow my BIG plan is to run hopefully around 4 miles in the morning, and then bike for around half an hour in the afternoon. that's the big plan. i don't know if it'll actually happen, but there's something to be said for at least having a plan. i was hoping to be around 10 miles runnin by the end of tomorrow, so at least that much should work out.

i tried the steve-low-cal diet thing. and i dang near blacked out while running yesterday, although i'm not sure if it was exertion, or lack of calories, but as long as i'm somewhat careful (back away from the trick or treat bag!!) i think the ten should slide off easily enough. (HA HA HA HA--i tell myself that anyway!!) and i'm thinking about donning the wetsuit, and getting in the lake one of these days, floating ice bergs and all, and having me a little swim. we'll see how that stands up later in the week when the temps dip below freezing.

what happened to jason?? where'd he get off to??
