So my options are to A) Fly down for $100 and fly my tri bike down for $250. B) Fly to Omaha for $100, pick up my roadie, the drive down. C) Buy a new tri bike when I get to KC.  I opt for `C' but I'm guessing it's going to be B. |

New user 45 | Subject: RE: IM Kansas 70.3 As a KU alumni I could not be more PUMPED about my favorite town getting an IM 70.3. Sadly, I will not be able to take part. I will be in training mode for IM 140.6 in Louisville. My 1st Ironman. But I'm really looking forward to doing the Lawrence IM 70.3 in the future. Lawrence is a great town, Clinton lake is pretty, and the rural roads on the edge of town are fun to ride. Rock Chalk Jayhawk!!! I did my 1st HIM in STL last year at the Ultramax Halfmax. 13.1 miles of hills, hills, and more hills. I would much rather do Lawrence. |

I normally wouldn't consider a 70.3 a "C" race, but I didn't want to miss it and I didn't want to stretch my race training from March through September. |

Just F.Y.I........another 70.3 race about 6 weeks out from IMWI is the Chisago Lakes, MN, HIM, which I plan on doing. I'm not going to register until the date grows nearer, but I'm fairly sure I'll do this 70.3 as well........as a "train through" race, not a real "race". |
