  • Comments: for a small local sprint, this is a great race. they are very organized, fun, chip timing is perfect, and i like the post race food. for being in a development, i really like the course. there are small things like inconvenient packet pickup and the race starting late as well as things outside their control like the transition set up incorrectly (bike in/out has to be the same in that parking lot). all in all though i would definitely recommend this race for anyone.

  • Comments: After doing this race again, I'd say it's again a great race! Besides being local so we can sleep in our own bed, it was well run, and a decent course for being in a neighborhood. Despite the weather being chilly and the start being early, it's a fun, organized race that I'll add to my calendar for next year.

  • Comments: I had a great time at my first triathlon and felt like I performed well. I thought the event was run very well, was well marked and explained, and was a pleasure to run.

  • Comments: Great race, designed for people just starting out, spectator friendly. A little crowded on the bike course, and not the best swim seeding. But the event was run extremely well and things went off without any real glitches. I got a $20 gift certificate and a custom made jersey (all the AG placers and overall winners got them). After looking at the results I was only 9 frickin' seconds out of the top 3!! I could have had any number of slight changes be it a clear swim or a smoother T2 and I would have been in 3rd. The 2nd place guy was another minute up the road, so I wouldn't have been able to "catch" him.

  • Comments: This is a well run race that is very welcoming to beginners. I know the race director and she obviously puts a lot of effort into the race. She is also the race director for Montclair and I'm looking forward to that race. Hopefully next year my brother will train so we can have the big show down.

  • Comments: Great race. Super organized... the had posted results and sent an email out to competitors by 8pm last night, that is awesome. I placed 3rd in my AG, but didn't realize it until Jess, Chris, Liz and I were sitting at IHOP talking about it, so we missed the awards. (I had counted 3 AG'ers ahead of me on the preliminary results that were posted. What failed to register in my post-race brain, however, was the fact that one of those three was in the Overall Top 3.... therefore bumping me up one spot in my AG). I emailed the RD last night. Hopefully I can still get my hardware.

  • Comments: for a short race, this is very well done. i would like to see a longer swim, but i understand it is impossible to do that without spreading the starts out even longer. transition area was set up correctly. chip timing was perfect. course was good. it would be a great race for a first timer and a good race to start the season. it's noce to have a good local race and decent give-aways (2 water bottles, sweatshirt, product samples/coupons) for the $65 race fee too.

  • Comments: I had a wonderful time! I met a few new people, had a great time during the race, and then a nice tasty meal after the race was over. I feel charged and ready for the next race, so I am very pleased!

  • Comments: A fun, local race that I'll most likely do next year. Course was fun and interesting and there were a lot of volunteers (that were super nice)! The giveaways were pretty good too...a sweatshirt, a few waterbottles and I heard they send us a DVD of the race. Overall, a great race to kick of the season!

  • Comments: I'm really pleased with my race. When I finished I wanted to start all over again! I think once I involve speedwork into my training routine I'll be able to see some really big improvements. I just had so much fun being out there, being surrounded by a bunch of people all having fun doing what I was doing. I can't wait for my next race!
