  • Comments: Pretty good race, better than expected. Crowd was more comparable to what I'm used to. Pretty competitive and athletic group too, certainly more than in first two races. Ice job by the Playtri team. While I'm not crazy about the pool swim in this event, I'd do the race again.

  • Comments: Overall a good race. Great for beginning cyclists, the bike course wasn't that hard. Not many post race activities, but there was a kids race that I stayed and watched.

  • Comments: This was a good race and is indicative of Play-Tri races. They do a good job. I would have rated higher, but the pool for this race is really too small. You have swimmers going up and back in the same lane with virtually no room for passing. The transition area was nice and roomy though. Post race food was just o.k. This had two different divisions of kids tris after the adults. My daughter was in the first division. All of the transitions were in the same area so we had to wait a long time (approximately 45 minutes) to get in and get her gear after her race as the transition was closed due to the last division running. Think it would have been better to have the transitions segregated to avoid this. We had a family gathering to go to after this and it caused us to be late. Despite the above, I would do this race again.

  • Comments: This was very well organized for a local race. The only hitch was probably the PA system (couldn't understand a word from the announcer). His voice was just to low pitched and it was better when a lady with a more clear voice spoke. They also needed to make some announcements on the award ceremony as they took almost a good hour delay before they started the awards. Fortunately, I hung around as I thought I was in podium contention. Getting first was a bonus! This was my first time to win my AG ever so I was pretty happy.

  • Comments: I went in to it with my bike split at the forefront of my mind and that paid off. Looking back over the last 2 years of sprints I have moved up my age group from the bottom to the top 5ish. I was disappointed to not make the top three but can't complain the pieces are coming together and next year I "age up" there are some fast guys there too and some of my age group will also move up but maybe the field thins out some i will get some results.

  • Comments: Except for the crazy weather, this race would've been great. They were able to manage the time trial starts in the pool very well and I was surprised that I didn't run into too many people. 1 person passed me and no one around me the rest of the swim. With the rain, perhaps it would've been better to plan for a 2-loop bike route that ommitted the rough country roads. Worrying about debris, loose gravel, mud, etc. was just a bit tough. There were a lot of crashes and a lot of DNFs for this race.

  • Comments: Worst day in the world to run a Tri. Sponsors did well with what they had. I heard stories of bikers loosing their way because the turn or intersection was unmanned. But it was raining sideways and storming.

  • Comments: This was a good race especially based on all the rain we had the night before. I really just need to keep training to get back into form and race faster.

  • Comments: The race went off without a hitch, especially considering the weather they had to deal with. The RD made big changes to the course and it seemed very clear to follow the new routes. It was pretty chilly at the end so people didn't hang out much. I would do this race again.

  • Comments: This being my first race, this was a great time. The people are all genuinely nice, the volunteers, went out of their way to help, the officials helped with friendly advice so those of us that dont have a clue dont get penalized. The only downer was the weather/mud/rain which is completely out of their control, although they did change the course to keep us out of the worst of it.

  • Comments: My hats off to Staci Brode Zaher and all the volunteers for somehow pulling this race off with the tough weather / flash flooding conditions just hours before the race.
