  • Comments: This tri did not run last year (2017), so this year felt a little like they were starting over. They did not have enough volunteers this time to cover the entire bike and run courses some of the turns and intersections could have been missed. Also, for some reason, the awards ceremony started about 20 minutes later than it should have. Overall though it was pretty well organized and I'm glad Wet Dog is back. It is a fun, flat sprint with a calm open water swim that is great for introducing people to triathlon.

  • Comments: They definitely stepped up the organization this year. This was my 5th time doing this race so I speak from experience. Way to go, Jayzees! I'm sure I'll be back next year.

  • Comments: beat personal goal time of under 1 hr. Very happy with performance. Raced with Kelly Clary and David Mathis. Kelly and I were virtually identical- each leg within just a few seconds. http://results.active.com/events/14th-annual-wet-dog-triathlon/age-...

  • Comments: If you were number 400 and some how reading this... Thanks for the motivation! For my first Triathlon I thought it was great and am looking forward to more. Also I did not drink anything during the race. I know it is a sprint but I wonder if i should have been

  • Comments: Overall it IS a great first timer event IF you have done research about Triathlon/spectated at one beforehand and don't need a lot of direction or signage before or during the race. There is was NO signage for bike/run exit during the race or body marking/troubleshooting information before the race. What makes this a great beginner race is the fast and flat course, and all race courses being compact in a single area. It is also easy for spectators to follow your progress. There WERE lots of volunteers on the course - just not before to answer questions/give directions. No drink stations except on run - but there were plenty out there on that part.

  • Comments: This race is run by volunteers not a experienced race director. This means it is little unorganized and started over 25 minutes late. However, it is for a great cause so the inconvienence is worth it.

  • Comments: I'll do the race again, but its not the most organized race. Being in the top 15 or so racers, I really missed most of the race's issues.

  • Overall course based on my ability: Too easy

  • Comments: Great race for beginners - easy course. Nice and fast. Packet pickup and marking was a little too spread out. Didn't start on time. Only gatorade and water offered after - it is benefiting a non-profit though so its no problem.

  • Comments: I thought about giving a 2 but the actual course was just so nice that I gave it a 3 (the race course was a 5!). Actual race organization is definitely at best a 2, probably a 1. Bleh, not sure my friends will be able to talk me into doing this one again next year.

  • Comments: Great little race. Lots of volunters. Bike course was open to traffic, but a cop was at every busy enter section. I will do this race again next year and recomend it to someone.

  • Comments: Okay, did not like the fact that there weren't any officials on the course. I saw numerous people drafting (like <2 feet from each others wheels), pack riding, and head phones. I don't mind being beat, but I do mind it when they have an unfair advantage. Overall, everyone was very nice and helpful. I would probably do it again. Don't pick the packet up the night before. There is no reason to as they don't even give you your number. They need to have a louder microphone as I couldn't hear a word they said all day.
