  • Comments: Good race, would have liked numbers on bike racks (some people are just rude!!!) must do some rolling hills bike rides to do good in the race... will go next year

  • Comments: Thanks for everyone who helped out! I enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. I also like the camo socks! I'll sport them at my next race. Very organized and well-run. I think more people should sign up, they're missing out!

  • Comments: Had fun. It was good to be racing again. Would have the clydesdale division by a minute, but even though I qualify I have never raced that. It would be too much like giving in!

  • Comments: Although I tend to look for races that play to my strengths (or away from my weaknesses) and this has a long swim, it was great! The bike course is the highlight for me, but the swim is nice and the run is fairly flat. I think they should make this an oly or half and really take advantage of those rural roads.

  • Comments: Really great race, super nice people who put it on, awesome lake swim, awesome bike course. We drove 3 hours to do it and it was worth it! I will definitely do this race again!

  • Comments: Despite my poor race, I still had a great time racing with friends and being cheered on by my family/friends/spectators. Went home and had a hot 2 hr bike ride.

  • Comments: Very good first effort! I enjoyed it and would do it again. The staff at Finish Strong did a great job as usual. If you are ever in Eastern NC and plan on doing an event, look these people up, they do a great job and they keep the fees down! We need to support them and keep them around!

  • Comments: Great course. Fast bike and fast run combined with a longish swim makes this a must-do race, especially if you're a strong swimmer. While short on participants this year, this could be as popular as any race in the state. FS Series did great job.
