  • Comments: Volunteers were nice and sure that the rain kept more spectators away. Actually, that part was nice because the trains and Metro were a lot less crowded on the way home.

  • Comments: This was my second time running this race, the first time being in 2004. (I was also more than 4 minutes slower this year). I will probably run this again next year.

  • Comments: I tend to shy away from big races but the corral system worked well in my case. The weather was ideal for racing and thankfully the rain stayed away for the most part. I would run this race again next year.

  • Comments: Only my second 10 miler, but a great event overall. Also have to give a plug to my wife. She kicked a$$!!! 1:14:56 and 51st in her age group. Just plain awesome.

  • Comments: The route was lovely, despite the range, and the volunteers and spectators were very pleasant. The place is CROWDED though, really crowded. Wish "the Awakening" hadn't gotten sold before the race... Mile markers and clocks at every mile were a nice motivational tool.

  • Comments: Enjoyed it a lot. First time doing a big race, and really enjoyed it. Wish I could have seen the elites zoom by, but having to hit Haine point first meant they were done:)

  • Comments: Really enjoyed this race and the course. Would do it again. But would arrive a bit earlier, and sleep more the night before unbothered by bad doggies.

  • Comments: I was expecting a better performance today... but after taking everything in, I'm glad I hung in there and gutted out that last mile and met my goal. I made my goal. That's always a good thing. Gio and I chatted all the way back on our cold METRO ride. After a warm shower and some reflection time, I feel great and almost anxious to get out and train tomorrow! Had a tough run that was made so much better by my friends that were there with me. Bring on the next race!!!

  • Comments: Very happy w/ this race, both my performance and the race in general. Pros: New course from last year Could metro to start Bag check was organized Lots of volunteers Cons: Packet pick up a little bit of a pain to get to Race shirt is awful (not that I really care, but it's definately not good) Some of the port-o-potties were actually pad locked (WTF?!) Was really congested, but that's what you get with so many runners...maybe they should increase the time in between waves?!

  • Comments: The rain made the entire area a mess, especially by the end of the race. It left little desire to stick around for post-race activities. Coming into the end area, they did not clearly indicate where post-race food was located. Could have labeled some of the areas better with banners on the outside of the tents.

  • Comments: Slow but glad I at least did it after all time off for injury. New shoes and old orthotics don't mix--welt in left arch. Rain and cold kinda sucked. Took it as an easy training run but now want to get faster!!
