  • Comments: Great well run race - a ton of volunteers and all of them with a positive yell as you passed by. I really liked the TT start for the swim and the Transition area was well set up. I look forward to next year

  • Comments: I really liked this race and would return if some of my fellow triathletes from the middle Georgia area want to travel next year. Tons of volunteers around and I loved the swim start.

  • Comments: I did have one negative with this year's race. I found out that I received a 2:00 penalty for improperly disposing a water cup on the run course. Since I generally take one or two sips and dump the rest on my head, I don't see how I could have disposed of it out of the zone. I am glad to accept a penalty when I have done something wrong or sketchy but when it is as lame as this I don't feel it is justified. Katie June lost 1st overall female by 5 seconds to someone that was drafting throughout the race but never caught but I'm nailed for littering. I even still had my top to the gel I ate on the bike in my bento box. Needless to say, I don't blame anyone on this random accessing of a penalty but I also don't feel the need to include it in my time for this report!

  • Comments: Nice big transition area for 1000 people. Short run from water to racks. Well organized. The bike course felt very save. There were people all over the place. I liked the overall. Nice swag bag. T-shirt and towel! I will actually use the bag for a workout bag while on the road. Oh yah, they gave out medals. Of course, that means daddy won. My girls think every time I come home with one that is means I won. LOL

  • Comments: For my first race I couldn't of asked for more. Lake grass was annoying, but the Race Director doesn't have control over that. There were people all over the course cheering and it was put together very well. The goodie bag was nice. I'll be back next year to improve my time!!!

  • Comments: This is a great race and very well run! Volunteers and participants are all very friendly. Given where I am with training (and lack of this year), I felt really good about my results, but know I have lots of room for improvement next year. Mom mom placed 3rd in her AG. GO MOM!! Honorable mention... my brother placed 4th in his very tough AG (missed 3rd by 20 seconds).

  • Comments: This is one of the best races in the southeast. Great swag (last year they gave us transition towels; this year they gave us a few water bottles and a mesh backpack (it's sweet)).

  • Comments: I thought it was a mistake when I saw I was third in my age group, but USAT does it by how old you will be by the end of the year. I got hardware on only my second triathlon ever--woo-hoo!!! I was pleased with my performance overall; it seemed easier than Callaway, even though the distances were greater. Undoubtedly because I didn't use up every molecule of my energy stores in the first two minutes, as I did in the swim at Callaway!

  • Comments: Tri-PTC continues to put on one of the best if not the best sprint triathlon in Georiga. Felt very good finishing in FOP instead of MOP. A couple of mis-queues on the bike fumbling with my sunglasses and the water bottle, but overall a good race for me. I shaved 4 min off the swim and almost 3 min off the run from Indian Springs. It was a good double brick workout, just need to make sure I change my mindset from "redline" to "pace" for Duke HIM this Sunday.

  • Comments: These organizers seemed to love putting on this race, and that made it fun. The course was fun(except the lake water!), the transition area was very well-organized, the post-race food was good (Startbucks iced coffed was awesome), and the goody bag was great! Nice job Tri-PTC!

  • Comments: I opted to volunteer with the race since i was unable to compete. Overall it was really fun, and quite informative since i've never seen a race and the mechanics that go into it. I will say that it was a little crowded (1000 participants) but the atmosphere was great. I will definitely return next year, maybe this time to actually race!
