  • Comments: Hey...I met my goals. 1.) finish under 3 hours 2.) 10 min miles for running 3.) drinking on bike and not in TA area. The only goal i didn't meet was not walking during the run. But 3 out of 4 ain't bad for my first international.

  • Comments: This was my first OLY. I finished, I had alot of support, the swim and bike were decent, and most important I had fun. With that said I had a great race. The distance was fine and I'll look forward to my 1st 1/2IM next year in Hawaii with D3.

  • Comments: This is a great event made better by the number of BTers that participate. I will definately do it again although maybe not next year as not sure I'll have the energy after LP and I will be sending my oldest son off to college.

  • Comments: this race is a lot of fun with BT friends. I was hoping to go sub-3 hr - last year my time was 3:02. My swim and bike times this year was alomst the same as last year's , but I knew that I wouldn't beat last year's 58:30 run time. Given the lack of training this year, I'm pleased with my performance. I'll be back next year.

  • Comments: 2nd time doing this course. last year was cold - everyone had to wear a jacket afterward, but was great while racing. This year, it was hot and muggy. I wasn't able to beat my old time, and I wasn't in perfect health. Still a great race, and I had a blast. The best part of the dueling with Joe. Didn't expect I still have the energy to sprint that 0.2 mile.

  • Comments: I love Cranberry. Overall a great race for me this year. Knocked 4:21 off my bike from 2006, 3:46 from my run in 2006 and 8:07 overall. Would have loved to have gone 2:45, but the weather was against me.

  • Comments: I loved everything about this race except the lack of beverages at the finish this year. Nice tee shirt, water bottle, plenty of aid stations, decent post-race food (at least there was some left, unlike Mooseman...). I will be back.

  • Comments: Great race and so fun with so many BTers racing. If you live in the area consider doing this race. BT get togethers before and after the race makes the race so much more fun. On the bike/run it is great to see friendly faces:) Volunteers were great..including Emily who body marked, then directed runners. She was asked to put toliet paper in all the port a potties. I felt horrible for that as I emailed the RD a list of suggestions after Patriot HIM and one was to refill port a potties with toliet paper as they all ran out...and he stuck my daughter with the job...irony?

  • Comments: Performance wise- just an OK race for me- but overall experience wise- a great race. Happy to be racing- a real treat to spend time with a great group of BT friends old & new. Too many highlights to list-some of our BTers really showed their stuff simply by showing up-never mind doing as well as they did- Proud to know em. Won a wet suit in the raffle (1st 2 picks had already left)..this is notable because I NEVER ever win stuff like that...AG placing a surprise given the quality of my performance-so that was nice too. Planets must have been aligned- even the rain held off til afternoon in this "Season of Precipitation"! A Happy Dance Life is Good weekend for sure.

  • Comments: Can I sign up yet for next year! At the rate of growth with the BT croud and this race we should see about 40-50 racer/voulenteers at this event next year. Too cool if we do. We would have about 10% of the entire field with those kind of numbers. And how could I forget the awards. As predicted Isis brought home hardware again! She keeps saying not this time and dose it again. I am not sure I deserved it, but Trimom217 gave me and DK ( she deserved it as much as anyone else) the tough cookie award. After seeing JP's photos of bloody nips, my PR just seems to pale in comparison. :) All the same I am honored to be the first recipiant of the Resident Matriarcks first ever Tough Cookie award :)

  • Comments: This is PB at OLY distance for me and the course was long. Also PB 10K for me (OK so I have only done 3 10Ks and they were in my 3 olys) SO even tho it is uber slow its still improvement for me. I was hoping to go sub 3 hours but I knew it would come down to the run as always and not making my injury worse was more important than anything else. Honestly, I could have stopped after the swim and been a happy girl because that was a tremendous swim for me. I knew the bike wouldn't be my best because I was back on little Roo and because of hills. I'm OK with it. I read Jorges Timberman race report the day before Cranberry and one of the things that dawned on me while readin it is that we all get to the start thru very different routes and you never know how the person next to you got to the start line. We all have a story and its more complicated than just stepping up to the line. Kathy G is an inspiration losing more than 85# Ellen too losing a ton of Weight, Aaron like me has fought

  • Comments: This is a great race and I will definately be back next year. It was the first race where I got my nutrition and running where I wanted them to be (hmmm, think there is a link between the two :) ) It was great to have all of the other BT'ers there and see them out on the course. It makes the day so much more fun.
