Subject: RE: Liquid I.V. - As good as it says?Had to laugh--when I saw this, I thought, "Well, who would want a solid IV?"
But seriously, if you want to separate calories from hydration (it works better for some people, especially if you don't like or tolerate very sweet drinks ), there are also plenty of low-sugar or sugar-free options like Nuun, Hammer Endurolyte, and Skratch. I hate sweet drinks and can't stand Gatorade; lemon-lime Nuun is my go-to electrolyte drink. Nuun and Endurolyte come in tubes of tablets that dissolve in water. If you keep them in the tube, or carry them in something waterproof like a baggie, they are easily portable for long runs, rides or races. You can just drop a tablet into water bottles provided on the course, or put one your bottle when you refill it on a training run or ride. More convenient than a powdered or liquid drink like Gatorade in that respect. Edited by Hot Runner 2019-08-13 9:31 PM
