Is anyone watching this show Homeland? It stars the guy who played Dick Winters in Band of Brothers.

Basically it is about a POW that has been rescued and is now back in the States and they think he has been turned into a terrorist. It is pretty intense for the two episodes that it has been on.

I am not a big fan of Claire Danes being a tough CIA Agent, but Mandy Patinkin (?) is great!

I've been enjoying it. It has a lot going on which I can see all tying together eventually.

My prediction is that Danes' character is just bat sh*t crazy.

I've been really enjoying it, but I think with this week's episode they've jumped the shark.  Hope I'm wrong.

Im still w/ it.  Im liking the twists.

Highlight and roll over for spoilers...

I thought the park scene was pretty intense.  And I thought Mandy Patinkins response was dead on, "we now KNOW theres a mole."  Almost as if he knew the plan was going to fail.  The seem to be pointing to the main CIA guy, but given the shows twists, it wouldlnt surprise me (that much) if Mandy himself was the mole.

But I really am liking the retelling of the Manchurian candidate w/ the multiple levels of deceit and intrigue - walker having his own mission while Brody was doing his, not knowing Walker was alive.  You think Abunajari used "your best friend beat you to death" as the tool to turn him to be a terrorist  Im looking forward to seeing his story like we saw Brody's the other week..

I'm not convinced yet.  At all.

There are 3 of us who watch it together, and we all have different theories.  One thinks it's Saul, another thinks it's actually the the ginger and just needs proof, and I think the whole thing is a scam to get their minds off what's really happening.

I also think that Brody is SO creepy looking sometimes.  He scares the bejeebers out of me in this show!

I am still watching it, although I am still not sold on Claire Danes being a seasoned CIA spy!

I have a theory that is the other middle eastern guy that sometimes partners with Carrie.

Mandy Patankin is awesome in this show.

(Maybe Jack Bauer will show up and save the day)

Loving this show! LOVING IT!

Clare Danes was an absolute lunatic this week. Perfectly played. And the thought has crossed my mind as well... that the mole could be Saul. (!!!)

DVR'd it last night and have not had the chance to watch it.  It has become my new obsession.

Not so sure about Claire Daines (although I hate her character so I guess that makes her good?!?!) Because she played Dr. Temple Grandin (I have worked many times with Dr Grandin) it is hard to watch her as this character but she is very convincing.

I am pretty sure both of the POWs were turned, but guess i will have to wait and see!

Loving it.  The side show for me is deciphering all the shoot locations.  It is set in dc/northern VA but shot in charlotte and concord along several of my run and bike routes so I feel like the real star is my hometown.  I would watch claire and dick paint a bedroom if it were televised, love those guys

The finale was super good. But lots of things still up in the air!

1. Who is the mole?

2. Carrie wasn't vindicated and didn't get her job back

3. Brody didn't get outed as working for Abu Nizar

MAJOR SPOLIERS IF YOU'VE NOT WATCHED:

OK, here I am being my usual negative self....I think I'm done with the show.  At first I liked it because for the most part it seemed "realistic" but now it's just turned into a big soap opera.

Brody...he's a terrorist, he's not, wait he is.

Walker's dead, wait he's not, now he is.

The only person who knows the truth is bipolar and undergoing shock treatment, she gets the final piece to the puzzle just as she goes under.

Super marine Brody is able to deceive and out maneuver everyone, but he can't put one over on his teenage daughter?  She's the one who almost finds the vest?  She's the one who busts him praying in the garage?

The scene in the bunker with the suicide vest did have my heart pounding, only because it would've been a ballsy move for the writers to actually have the main character die.

Shark has been jumped for me.

The daughter I kinda believed.  She's a smart and intuitive kid as she was the only one who knew about 'uncle mike'.  Through out the whole series, shes been kinda skeptical of her dad.  Especially during the last episode.. it wasnt the praying that made he suspicious, it was the locked door while he was changing, and then when she heard him lock it again after she walked away.  She was freaked out and didnt want Brody to go to the meeting, and he wouldn't console her w/ a big hug when he left to not feel the vest under his shirt.  It was all was very odd to her and you could see her wrestling w/ the all the conflicting information.  I also dont think she wouldve figured it out if Carrie hadnt come to the house and said to call and talk him down.  You could see her putting the pieces together w/ what shes witnessed in the last 24 hours and thats why she called.  At first, to confirm that Carrie was crazy and her dad isnt a terrorist.  But when Brody (great bunker acting by Lewis BTW) wouldnt promise her he would be home, you could tell she had figured it out, but really not until that point.

I'd like to see how Walker was turned.  We can understand Brody's motivation, but what is Walkers?  Why would he care, unless he was also tutoring another of Nazir's kids and wanted vengence.

I also wonder if they had another scene ready where the vest did go off if they didnt get the second season.

I think that Estes is the mole.  He was there directing the Sec o' Def (VP) to bomb the school, which set in motion the final turning of Brody.  Plus he's been privy to all the information that the mole would need.

I thought the last episode was great! It had some intense scenes throughout the show and I am glad they are having another season.

I would also like to hear more about Walker being turned though, maybe next season?? The scene in the bunker was awesome, I had no idea if he was going to try and hit the switch or not.

The only reason I was keeping Showtime was for Dexter, not it looks like I have another reason!

I am a little late because I have been busy and had it DVR'd and just got to watch it last night.

A few questions I keep asking myself...

Where is the vest?

Who has the video camera chip? (Walker or someone else)

Did he just leave walkers body there or do something with it? (A few days later when Saul visited Carrie, there was no mention of Walker being dead)

If the daughter did know that something is going on with her dad, would she tell anyone or even join him in whatever he is working on?

Oh and I think that the Head CIA dude is the mole.  He knew about the bombing and when Carrie got too close he closed the door on her...

I guess I am going to have to wait until next season to find out.  This series difinitely has me intregued.  Yeah I was one of those that got into "Lost" for the first couple of seasons!  I am back to having a new obsession!

Just finished watching it on On Demand.

I think Saul is the mole. I think he slipped the prisoner the razor blade. Remember how he initially flunked the polygraph and then walked out and took it again later?

I thought it was great. Hopefully the next season will move beyond the various love triangles. Curious to see where it goes from here, now that Carries out of the bureau, Walker is dead, and Dana is suspicious.

I also wondered what happened to the suicide vest.

The 2nd season is just as intense as the first. After last weeks episode, I now have so many more questions about Estes and Quinn and what they are up too!

I watched the entire first season in about 3-4 days prior to the 2nd season premiere and I never thought that Saul was the mole as so many have on here. It seems like he's the only one that has got it together. 2nd season has been really good. It turned into a good show for me when they stopped with the unecessary nudity. That turned it from "lets try to get a bunch of dudes to watch this late at night" to "legitimate show, watch bc we're awesome."

I just wonder how many seasons this could have. This charade can't go on forever. Brody is gonna lose his mind and I guess Abu Nasir is turning against him for the setup now, which changes the entire dynamic of the show.

the wife and i got hooked  a couple weeks ago.  We kept seeing the previews after Dexter, and had a friend say it was his new favorite show.  we watched all of season 1 and episodes 1-8 of season 2 in probably 4 days.  it was all we could watch in the evenings (whoever invented On Demand is awesome!).

very good show!  great acting, i think!  i like how fast paced it is.  just about every show seems like it could be a season ending cliff hanger!!   love it.

I love the show. I can't imagine how Brody's going to survive this season now that the CIA and Nasir both want him dead. They've already been green-lit for a third, though. Can't wait to see how it turns out.

I think it's funny that Brody, Estes, and Quinn are all played by British Actors.
