Is anyone thinking about doing this open water swim on Septmeber 19th at lake Saguaro?  Those doing IMAZ this year may want something besides the Tempe Town lake swims in before November.

It says it offers a 2k or 4k timed swim.  It is a dcbAdventures race. here is the link:

I'm thinking about it. Not sure about the 2.4 just yet.

I posted it as I am 87% sure I am doing it - I will also do the tempe town lake swims, but swimming at volume is the one area that I do not do that well in a pool at!

Kevin, you honestly shoulda signed up for IMAZ.  Century rides, 2.4 mile swims.. Do you also have marathons in your training regiment?

Anybody got a guess as to the water temp in Saguaro might be?  There are wetsuit and non-wetsuit divisions, and I'd like to wear the wetsuit, but I've determined that I have heat issues. I did fine in the wetsuit in Lake Mary, but continue to have issues in Lake Pleasant... I'd also only do the 2K swim to prepare for SOMA. Not ready for 4K yet!

If I can figure out a way to still fit my bike ride in that weekend I would like to do the 2k!

You can have someone pick you and your bike up.... and you can bike out of there!

I probably won't be doing it... but Dave from DCB is great so I certainly want to see everyone support his events. Word is the Saguaro Lake triathlons will be back next year.

What if we all met up for a 2 hour or so ride before the swim?
