Swim
Comments: Started slow and easy. I had to stop to adjust my goggles, which were taking on water. Worked fine after. What would you do differently?: I simply have to learn to swim just a bit faster. I think that I was dead last in the men's wave. Transition 1
Comments: Came in from the swim feeling good. Put on my helmet, ate my gel, drank, sat down and put on my socks and shoes. Unhooked the bike and walked to the Bike OUt section. What would you do differently?: Nothing... Bike
Comments: I was not the fastest rider but I was perhaps one of the stronger riders in the hills. What would you do differently?: Not much. Maybe work on the derailleurs a bit; they were a bit off. Transition 2
Comments: Did everything right. Hooked up the bike, took off the helmet and gloves, swallowed my gel and drank a long draft of water. Kicked off my cycling shoes, kneeled to put on running shes and headed for "Run Out". What would you do differently?: nothing... Run
Comments: Went out very slowly and settled into a slow waddle all the way. Did a nice sprint at the end though. Post race
Warm down: Walked over to the food tent.... What limited your ability to perform faster: The fact that I am old and slow ... :-) Event comments: A fun race. My first olympic and it was just great! Last updated: 2005-08-22 12:00 AM
