RIP.  He's gone 10-100 for the last time.

East Bound & Down was played at the pub tonight - twice - courtesy of my little bro.

I was seriously bummed when I saw the news today.

I watched that on Saturday this past weekend.  What a classic, hate to see him gone.  I too wasn't much on his music but loved him in Smokey and the Bandit.  RIP Bubba!

I was  a fireman in the area of Atlanta that about 70% of Smokey and the Bandit was filmed and we used to stand by on location for some of the wrecks and chases.  Of all of the "Big Name" stars on the movie Jerry was the nicest and friendliest...unlike some of the others.  He never failed to stop and speak and thank us for doing our jobs and he always had a joke or two.

Was very sorry to hear of his passing.

That song, and a couple of his other songs, come up regularly on one of my Pandora stations.
