My tri club is trying to put together our fall Gu order, so today I logged into our Gu account to grab a list of products for our website. All Roctane flavors are backordered, and there is no salted caramel Gu gel. Spoke to our rep, he said it was all shipped to Kona.

Curses upon you fast people for taking our Gu

Selfish bastards! Brian, have your son whip up some salted creme caramel and stick it in a flask. He could even put some shots of espresso in the creme if you need it caffeinated

I may have 5 Roctanes left in my supply.  You want to swing by and pick them up?

Sounds like I am missing something. Though I typically can not eat gu. I have thrown up more gu I think than I kept down. Other brands I typically ok with but gu. forget about it.

I believe in evolution. If all I have is shots of whiskey, I can adapt.

This isn't just for me, I was trying to get our tri club's website set up for a group order. Typically we buy around $800 worth of Gu.

The only Gu products I like are the electrolyte tabs and the occasional Roctane. I still have half a case of gels I bought in 2011. I use Infinit.

Just so they don't run out of Cliff Turbo Chocolate Cherry or I may have to quit biking/tri altogether. (It's the only thing that gets me through those long rides around the industrial park!)

Must be a huge industrial park. Well we decided not to wait and opened up the ordering, let's see how it goes.

I can't say it enough, the feeling of treading water for that final minute, helicopters over head, Mike Riley's Iron-voice over the P.A. - just awesome. I cannot believe I'm here!

Well the day is finally here. I don't believe a single workout has gone by in these past 9 years where the idea of being at the start line of the Ironman Hawaii didn't creep into my head.

So far the taper is feeling good and I'm getting that itchy feeling to race. I know this will grow even stronger when I get to the island and see my friends and PBN Team members.
