Ran the PTC Triathlon yesterday, race report is posted. It was a lot of fun (even the flat tire during the bike). Today, plan on stretching out the legs on a 26 mile bike ride.

Have a great day all you BT'rs.

Congratulatios, Karl. I haven't read your race report yet, but I'm heading there next

My day: running (2 miles only), short (13 mile) bike ride, a bit of weight work, and some yoga. This is my version of a little brick, I guess. I'll do a short ride followed by a short run. It's a start, I guess. Yoga will be early in the day -in a few minutes, I suppose. And the weight work will be later tonight and upper-body focused. So I shouldn't kill myself. That's my thinking, anyway.

Congratulations Karl!!!

Today, I'm going for a walk if the weather holds, since my plan is a 10 miler for tomorrow.

congrats, karl!

planning a swim (1500-2000 yards) and a run (5 miles), depending on how my legs feel after the long ride yesterday.

I'm off to the pool to swim, as it is raining here.  Haven't done a swim since my race last Sunday...it is time to get back to it!

Congrats Karl! Are you still "Motivated"?

Fourteen mile run this morning, easy week for me.

Congratualtions Karl. Glad to see the stubbed toe didn't take you out of the running

First official brick for me today. Simulated T2 was 1:18. Next time I'll worry about the number belt AFTER I change my shoes :P

I think it has to be a rest day for me today. The last 9 have been training days and yesterday I trained all three including tacking 2K onto my run.
Think I will go see Manchurian Candidate today and eat popcorn.

Way to go Karl...good race!  Well I just got back from the Cranberry Country Olympic distance triathlon.  Raced this one along with TriMom217.  I haven't posted a race report yet, will do so a bit later.  But it sure was hot...temps around 90 during the run!  I joked with someone that under the hot conditions, I would have preferred a SWIM / SWIM / SWIM event!

Congratulations Max! It has got to be a great feeling to complete a full Olympic Triathlon. I'm envious. My first Oly isn't for 3 weeks and I'm already getting nervous about it.

Bear, yes, I'm still very Motivated. I think I'm hooked on this hobby for a long time to come. When you're 42 and are just beginning to experience PB's, its a great feeling. I'm still at a point where I'm getting faster each day. My potential has not yet caught up with my age.

I hope everyone has a great Sunday and thanks for all the kind words.

Karl, so proud of you and TriMom. I'm bursting! Woo Hoo. Well, did the Rattlesnake Tri today. See race report:

Tomorrow it's a swim at the state park after work.

I finally got one in the books! WOO HOO! Race report is up. Thanks again to everyone that offered advice to me. I obviously need to enlarge the individual bases that I've got going, and my speed isn't too much of an issue at this point. A road or tri bike would be inherently better than my current bike, and I need to start upping my running distance a little more.

This was such a blast! I hope to have some pics up later tonight. Right now, I need to continue to re-hydrate, and eat some more food!
