I give you … `The Thread Formerly Known as Fish's What I Learned':
• Ana Ivanovic v. Maria Sharapova in the Australian Open final. Not only does that make men around the world happy in the pants, millions of 13-year-old boys will become men Sunday night at 9 p.m. EST.
• Most BTers drive boring sedans or SUVs. That's why I love this site -- such a wide array of people from Schwamm's Honda Fit to DerekL's Toyota Sequoia `Earth F'er 3000.' And what's more, BTers are so tolerant nobody demanded Hazmaster's man card for actually admitting he likes minivans. Let's face it people, as far as versatility you can't go wrong. I mean, you can load up the tent, the food, the firewood and the marshmallows and STILL have room to f**k after it starts raining.
• You people work in cool offices. Breckview's office with view was quite possibly the best, though it would be a constant reminder that it's really really cold out. If you like skiing, then cool, I suppose. Krludwig -- congratulations. You win a prize for `most boring view of empty parking lot from office.' Good work, Maynard.
• The One-Word game started by swbkrun is catching up to TAT (thread about TAN) in page count. Oh wait, nope, there TAT goes. Ryan and Kiley must be having a conversation. Werd.
• Hell hath no fury like a horny woman turned down for sweet nubbins, fellas. As getsome showed it's safer to get some than to get none otherwise you might go the way of Lance Armstrong minus the coolness factor and Tour de France victories. And without the anesthesia.
• Heath Ledger died. No matter how he died may he RIP. A fine actor, that one, and his on-screen presence will be missed.
• If you own a home, you can refi at a lower rate, according to that mortgage guru Scoobysdad. But in Wisconsin, aren't most houses bought for `a sixer of the Beast, some pepper cheese and two of them milkin' cows over yonder'?
• It's Super Bowl time, as Buck 'n' change pointed out, and everybody east of Highway 17 could give a rat's ashe about a 10-6 team whose claim to fame is their QB is Peyton Manning's brother and the other whose QB could honestly have been one of the original `Bunch.' I'm guessing the youngest one, in curls.
That's all she wrote. And I am outta here …
Have a good weekend, kids. Hope the cold goes away before those of us in the north go insane and start eating each other.
