Subject: Just wanted to say how happy I am to have found this siteI found your great site in looking for a Beginner Training Program for a Sprint Triathlon (Divas Only Triathlon ), which is on September 12, 2004, here in Vancouver. It was at my recCentre last year, and I wanted to try to do it myself. I having been talking about it since about January, both as a way to get into shape (steady ) and to lose some weight (about 30 lbs ideally ).
I thought I better start before it's Sept and I am still doing the talk! Anyway, I found the Training for Beginners 22 Week Program. Even though, currently, I am quite active with Snowboarding and Volleyball and go to the Gym somewhat sporadically, I found this Program to be a nice and gentle start. It was non-intimidating. It was great to see that I only had to Swim for 100 metres, and walk for 20 minutes for the first day.
So I am mostly here to say, I have done the first 3 days in a row, and feel sooooooo good right now. I can't believe it. Today was my day off from work, and I did day 3 of the Program, washed my car, did my laundry, cleaned my apartment and can't wait for the next day of training (tomorrow is a day off ). Also really enjoy reading the forum about other inspiring stories and how to's, etc. and find the training log very useful way of keeping a diary online.
