Wow!!! According to online timing, Pate just made up 4'43" on Ignatiev in the 6.5km between time checks 3 and 4. That's what I call warp speed.

NM, it's fixed now.

Surprised the gap between Ignatiev and Cancellara wasn't bigger. I'm raising my eyebows, which I though I'd tell you, as you can't see me.

The start list with times is here.

GO WIGGO!!!!!

While I wait for my video too, CAT, can you give us your take on the Contador thing?

I watched last night and maybe I missed it, but I never saw him turn and ask Klodden if he was ready or able to go.  It just looked like good old Bertie taking all the glory for himself and screwing his teammates.

I also thought Lance looked like he was really doing his part to keep Wiggo back, even chasing him down, passing, and then slowing him down (which I think is just mean on a Cat 1 climb).  What say Cat?

I recently got Zinn Art of Triathlon Bike Maintenance and learned about sitting forward on the saddle.  Man, that made such a big difference.  If I can take the pain, I can turn some really fast speeds.

One thing I've seen these guys doing a lot of (contador, cancellara, Menchov just a minute ago) is they pull forward on the seat and then scoot-back again.  They look like they're never comfortable on the seat.  I thought that'd lose some time until I read that they were really just trying to pull on the handlebars and generate more torque.

Cat, I love TTs too.

At some point you can see Contador point forward while he talk with Kloden, with 18.5km to go or so.  I can't find it anymore but yesterday I read something by Contador. He said "I told Andreas that I would attack and he told me go if you have the legs"

From that point of view it seems like AK never had the legs to follow AC and IMO AC shouldn't have attack.

LOL, my video is almost there.  It says loading and I am seeing a picture of yesterdays stage...

Also for GB remember these guys are not riding to then run, so they are going to be a bit steeper and maybe a bit more uncomfortable to be faster.  LOL, after the TT they don't run the go get a massage.

Sorry.  I think I took your queue spot.  Cuddle's is racing now.  He's going fast!!!

Anyone think they should design the decals on the disk wheels to say a word or have a picture when you hit say 25mph.  That'd be cool.  I'm sure you can do it optically.

I don't.  It'll be Football Season soon and that'll hold me over until Feb, then the Masters, then some baseball, then TDF, then football.  It's a vicious cycle...

Anyone see how wide Ryder Hesjedal's handlebars were?

What do I think of the whole thing?

I think Contador isnt great strategically..

I think Lance is great strategically...

I think I would like Kloden to get the chance to ride as team leader on his own team...

Ummm.... I think Astana sweeping the podium is a realistic outcome but it shouldnt be THE focus for the team...

I hope they dont!

Contador did the right thing as a yellow jersey contender....

Kloden didnt have it....

Lance did the right thing strategically as the support for the yellow jersey...
