Pro  4672     Nutmeg State |  Subject: IM PicturesSo I ordered a finsher photo from ASI of my at IMKY on a plaque that I could hang in my office. Lo and behold when I received the plaque, the picture of me on the left was fine, but in the picture on the right (where it says Ironman Louisville) they show one of the Lousville bridges on top and on the bottom A PICTURE OF THE LP SWIM. Ummm . . . I swam in the Ohio River, not in a cold lake in LP (plus its raining in the picture) and definately not wearing a wetsuit. Am I in my right mind to complain to ASI that they put the wrong picture in? Edited by kaburns1214 2008-09-15 3:38 PM |

I think they took the liberty to pick a swim picture that looked better than the one in Kentucky? Tell us what they say. |

KY was sunny and warm and the picture looks like one from a dark, cold lagoon. Plus the cap colors are wrong and you can read IM USA on the caps. |

That way, I can pick up my photos in the morning after the race and choose which one looks best. There is bound to be at least one decent photo in the pack. What did the "example" look like that you ordered from? Did it show how the non-race photo area would look? |

They didn't show the non-race photo area, just said it would be event appropriate. 2/3rds of it is -- its an Ohio River shot and the Lousivill logo, its jsut that the bottom 1/3rd is LP. At least I look really tan in the picture. |

I would be quite surprised if they did not rectify this. |

Well, I believe she is talking about the standard stock photos they put on the right side of the plaque. Basically they have 3 things on the left side about IMKY, and then on the left side you put YOUR photo. She's not saying that they gave her a photo of herself swimming in a different IM. Am I right on this? I went home last night and looked at my plaque and the stock swim photo they have on the right is not Kentucky. Obviously, the put in a swim photo that looked like an IM swim in there... and let's face it, swim photos from Kentucky won't look like that. Eh, honestly no one will know the difference when they see the plaque. Sure, you know, but unless you tell them they won't notice. Edited by KSH 2008-09-16 9:16 AM |

I have spoken with our graphic design team and they have informed me this is a standard photo used on all of the plaques. I sent them an email with my opinion that they really could go the little bit extra to use race specific pics. Really, how hard would that have been. FishHog |
