Subject: Valentine's Day for pregnant wife
I'd like to do something nice for my wife for Valentine's Day. It seems like every year I am scrapping at the last minute to put something together, and I hate that. This year we're 6 months pregnant, and our first child is 1.5 years old.   That said, do you guys have any ideas for a simple/fun/original Valentine's gift?

A mani/pedi?  A massage (make sure it is someone who specifically massages pregnant women so they know pressure points to avoid)?  A cleaning service (I now how hard it is to scrub toilets 6 months pregnant)?

Is she into spa stuff? My fiance gave me a half day at a local spa (massage, facial, pedicure and lunch) right after our daughter was born, and it was so nice to be taken care of and relax. And then you can take care of the kiddo until he/she goes to bed and then cook her a nice dinner. That's what I want, anyway!!!

Breakfast in bed first.
Massage her feet.
Massage her back.
Massage her shoulders.
Massage ANYTHING else she wants massaged.
All the while, whisper sweetly in her ear of how much you love her and want to pamper her for the day.
Ask her what else she wants to have you do for her for the day.

Now, wake up from your dream.   (KEEEEE DING on this last part)

send both her and one of her good friends or her mom (bonus points) to a spa and then dinner (make reservations for them).   Take care of your child while they are gone and the 2 of you make her a card for when she gets back (more bonus points if you sign the card with the soon to be babies name).

Worked for me.

That's good.  Very good.  I like the card touch at the end.

By the way....I'm stealing some of these ideas. My wife is due in 2.5 weeks!

My wife is due in two weeks, and I'm pretty sure that's how she feels about it right now.

Go for the send her and a friend to a spa/hotel for dinner and massage while you take care of the other child.

Do you have a name picked out for the new baby yet?

Last year for my wife, I got her a bracelet (nothing super expensive, it cost like $50) with a charm.  Then I had the charm engraved (I think it cost $25 or so) with our kids' names.  She absolutely went crazy over it.  And it wasn't really all that pricey.

Damn. I used this one for Christmas. I got her a charm necklace with a k(elly) from Tiffany's.  I recommend this to all men.
